Can I
transfer existing domain name to
SolTechInc.net Hosting servers?
Yes, just be sure to specify that you are
requesting a transfer and NOT a new
domain. You should keep the service with
your current provider while waiting for
domain registar to complete the transfer
process. We will provide you with a
temporary URL address so you can mirror
the site on our server. All email and web
pages will still be accessed from your
current site. When your domain registrar
announces the completion of the transfer
there is a 72 hour propagation period
where visitors could go to either site. At
the end of the 72 hours you should contact
your previous host to have them delete the
old domain from their records and update
their DNS record. If you use this same
provider for your Internet access you will
not be able to access your domain site at
SolTechInc.net Hosting until they update
their DNS.

support?
We do offer phone support for general
questions. Our toll free support
line at 1-800-409-2355 or 956-421-2355 is
open 24/7. We prefer support
requests to come through our ticketing
system or email for a variety of reasons.
First, it provides an audit trail of
communication so that all the facts can be
passed on to whomever may be working your
problem.
Second, it allow us to focus on fixing
problems instead of answering the phone.
Third, due to there being multiple people
in different locations available to handle
requests it saves additional expenses.
How
long does it take to get my domain
working?
If you ordered a new domain name through
us, it will take 24-48 hours. If you are
transferring an existing domain name to
SolTechInc.net Hosting, it will take 24-48
hours after you make the DNS change with
your registrar.
What kind of Technical Support do
you provide?
We will answer, help, fix any problems
related to your web hosting account. We
will provide support for all the services
and features that we offer. We do NOT
provide technical support for 3rd party
software.
Ok, I'm convinced, how do I transfer
my domain name to SolTechInc.net Hosting
without downtime?
To avoid downtime, please follow these
procedures:
1) Sign up an account using our online
order form and it will be setup within the
same business day. We will email you an
"Account Setup" letter which
will include login so you can upload your
files to our server. We will provide
a temporary URL or static ip to upload
your files to our server pending
propogation of dns.
2) After you're done uploading your files,
contact your domain name registrar and
have your domain name pointed to our DNS
numbers below:

3) Now, be patient. It will take about
48-72 hours for your registrar to update
their DNS. Once it's updated, your domain

4) After you confirm that your website is
pointed to SolTechInc.net Hosting, go
ahead and cancel your account with your
previous hosting company.
